| Wind power can be an essential part of your Renewable Energy input, but it requires time and energy in design and implementation. The locating of wind systems and the infrastructure are vital the project being both safe and efficient. As a general rule, wind machines require a location where obstructions will not block the wind energy. Further, because of the enormous potential energy available with wind, the mounting structure must be able to withstand the most severe projected wind drag. For the most part, we recommend using factory designed tower kits with the models listed below. These units are in service at our facility and have been used extensively in our projects, so we feel confident in recommending them to our customers. |

| Myth-wind generators need very tall towers While some folks in the RE industry still cling to outmoded concepts, we have over 150 wind generators mounted on our shorter towers and, in direct comparison with much taller mounts, produce the same amount of energy, have higher survival rates, require less maintenance and therefor are a greater return on investment. Only in very special cases would you need a tower over 20 feet and this is especially true of VAWT vs HAWT wind generators. Put your money where it counts, not in a giant steel pole and expensive guy system that does not substantially improve the system energy input.

| Vertical Axis Wind Turbines VAWT units are great for urban areas and connect directly to our Power Package. We offer several types for machines, with several different designs. We have tested and used these or prototypes on our shop system and found they work well in the sometimes very hingh winds here in Ennis. call for pricing and operation information on any VAWT unit. We will be introducing the URBAN-TURBINE, a low cost way to utilize wind energy when using our Power Package system without large towers or expensive, over-rated wind generators.

Details: Our newest Vertical Axis Wind Turbine is an Aeolic design using our own controller available in either a simple analog type or complete digital control. This unit will produce about 250 watts per hour in 13mph winds (average) and up to 500 watts in 20mph plus wind sppeds. It is what we call an UrbanTurbine" and is simple yet reliable with a Mag-lev system to decrease friction.
